Garden of the Gods

This was Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Gorgeous place but we were too lazy to get out of the car.

Rocky Mountain

We arrived at Rocky Mountain National Park a couple of hours ago and love our campsite. Unfortunately, the rpod smells like a cheap Italian restaurant because the spice rack spilled all over the bathroom floor (don't ask) and a bottle of red wine spilled on the bed (also don't ask). But as you can see, the site is beautiful! Jerry jumped out of the yard and terrorized a golden retriever and his person.

Morning at Cheyenne Mountain

Here we are, enjoying the early morning at our campsite. There are squirrels across the road from us and we really want to chase them! However, the 18" high fence is just way too high to overcome so we'll just have to watch them from here.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park

We arrived at our camp site about an hour after our adventures at the Walgreen. It's super pretty here! But it's HOT. So like the saddest "campers" on earth, instead of enjoying the great outdoors, Tom and Margo are sitting inside where it's cool. Lazy!

So here we are, in the parking lot behind the Walgreens in Pueblo, Colorado. We stopped here to get Tom some allergy pills, and then he had to go to the bathroom. So we wait.

Stinky

So here we are, enjoying our first night of camping, but our neighbors evidently don't know what a "dump station" is. There's a terrible sewage smell coming from their trailer!

Great Sand Dunes National Park

Today was the first day of our big vacation! We're spending the night in southern Colorado; we tried to stay at Great Sand Dunes National Park, but by the time we got there the campground was full. So we're staying at an RV park right outside the park. The neighbors are super friendly, and we met two girls from Florida who have a house rabbit and who foster feral kittens. They came over to pet us and to see Peanut. Deanie growled at them.
